Get a virtual card

Get a virtual card to use for online purchases or add the card to your digital wallet for in-store purchases. Every Pleo user with access to cards has a virtual card in the app; all that’s left to do is activate it.

Request a vendor card

Vendor cards can be used to keep track of subscriptions and can be created by Admins and extended bookkeepers. If you are an Employee, you can request a vendor card through the Pleo app:

  1. Go to Cards
  2. Tap +
  3. Tap New vendor card
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions


Admins will be notified once the request has been created and can approve the request.

Get a physical card

Only Admins and extended bookkeepers can order cards. If you don't have admin access, reach out to your admin to get a physical card.


Order Cards


If you or your employee needs a physical card, you can order cards:

  1. Navigate to People in the Pleo web app
  2. Go to Physical Cards
  3. Click Order Cards
  4. Select all users that need a card and enter their names
  5. Check if the company name and address are correct
  6. Confirm your order


The card should be delivered within 5-7 business days. In the meantime, virtual cards can be used for most cases by adding them to a digital wallet


Once you have placed the card order, you will not be able to change or cancel it. If you no longer need the cards, simply don't activate them. 


Good to know:

  • Every user can have one physical and one virtual card. 
  • Pleo cards shouldn't be shared between employees to comply with Pleo's Terms and Conditions, for that reason:
    • Every Pleo card is assigned to a specific employee and has their first and last name on it
    • It's not possible to change the name on an existing card
  • The initial card is free for every user, but there are fees for replacement cards (no fees for replacement cards in the US)
  • If you already have a card but need a replacement card, the active card first needs to be blocked
