How to invite, delete or update user roles in Pleo

By default, anyone invited through the standard steps will join as an employee. You can switch their role to admin after they accept the invite.
If the invitation fails, check for extra spaces in the email address. If it’s still not working, the email might already be associated with another Pleo account - try using an alias or explore a multi-entity Pleo setup.

How to invite employees

Go to the People page
Click Add people
Follow the on-screen instructions to invite one or many people at the same time

How to invite controllers

Go to the People page
Click Add people
Select Invite controller at the bottom of the page

How to invite external bookkeepers

Go to the People page
Access External Bookkeepers
Click Invite bookkeeper
Select the Access level
Follow the on-screen instructions to invite one or many people at the same time

How to delete users

Go to the People page
Click on the member you wish to delete
Click the three dots in the top right corner
Click Delete member & Delete to confirm

Deleting users will permanently destroy their virtual and physical cards and remove their access to Pleo - this action is irreversible.
Even if a user has been deleted, you can still:
- View their expense history: Go to Expenses and search by name or email.
- Check their reimbursements: Go to Reimbursements > History tab.

How to change roles

Employee to admin, or vice versa

Go to the People page
Click on the member you wish to change role
Select Employee or Admin

Admin or employee role to a controller, or vice versa

Go to the People page
Search for the member you wish to change role
Click on the three little dots
Select Delete member
Invite the user as a Controller
