With the exception of the US, for security reasons, Pleo cards need to use the CHIP and PIN wherever the terminal supports chip cards. Payments made with CHIP will not be accepted with signature as a verification method.

In certain countries, some merchants have chip and signature payments as the default method and are unable to choose a different payment method. Unfortunately, you will not be able to pay with your Pleo card in such situations. We recommend that you carry a backup card just in case.
