What to do if you see the message “fromaccount cannot be toaccount".

The cause

This error occurs when you are trying to export out-of-pocket expenses to the same contra account as card expenses.

The solution

1. In Quickbooks, set up a contra account for out-of-pocket expenseswith the following settings:
   • Account type: Cash at bank in hand
   • Detail type: Current
2. In Pleo, navigate to Settings
3. Go to Accounting
4. Add the account created as Account for out-of-pocket expenses
