Since all purchases made with Pleo cards are business related, it is always required to add a copy of the original receipt to each transaction for documentation and tax purposes.

If a situation occurs where a receipt is not handed out by a merchant, or you accidentally lost it - we advise you to consult your Pleo administrator about what procedure fits the expense policy of your company.

While it is far from ideal, in case you get no receipt - one can take advantage of features that Pleo offers with regards to categorising your expenses:

  • Add a note with as many details as possible 

  • Add a picture of the shop/café/vending machine/etc.

NOTE : adding notes and pictures should never be a permanent solution instead of adding a picture of the receipt, when a receipt can be obtained.
